Obituary of Frank C. Barnard, Jr.

Frank C. Barnard Jr, 93, of Travis, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie (2017); loving father of Frank C. Barnard III and his wife Debra, James T. Barnard and his wife Rosalie, and the late Arthur E. Barnard and his wife Annamay; cherished grandfather of Jessica Borsilli and her husband Edward, Jamie Campbell and her husband Thomas, Frank C. Barnard IV and his wife Melissa, Christopher Farengo and his wife Bridget, and Arthur E. Barnard Jr; fond great-grandfather of Edward, Faye, Charlotte, Genevieve and Oliver. He was preceded in death by his two siblings. Mr. Barnard was born and raised on Staten Island, graduating from McKee High School. After high school he enlisted and served for two years in the U.S. Navy. For 34 years he was a union Teamster Driver and then worked for the City of NY as a Carpenter, for the Board of Education. Frank was a motorcycle enthusiast and collected antique Trucks. For many years he was a staple in the Travis 4th of July Parade with his antique trucks. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
