Obituary of Theresa "Terry" Mezzacappa

Theresa “Terry” Mezzacappa, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 2, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo. She was predeceased by her loving son Thomas. She was the dear sister of the late Florence Moffett and Thomas Rasmussen. Terry was born in South Carolina and is a longtime resident of Staten Island. She worked as a Showroom Manager at Branch Plumbing and later became a Nurse’s Aide RUMC formerly St. Vincent Hospital. Terry enjoyed playing Canasta with her sisters and sister-in-law for over 50 years. She loved taking trips to Atlantic City where she enjoyed playing poker. She was an active member of the Anderson Avenue Senior Center. Terry is survived by her son, Angelo and his wife Doreen, her devoted grandchildren, Chris and his husband Robert and Danielle Palazzolo and her husband Vince, her cherished great grandchildren Thomas and Vincent and her dear sister Doris Wrage. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, 6/21/2021, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. A service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 AM. A burial of Terry’s cremated remains will follow at Moravian Cemetery.
