Obituary of Louis Troise

Louis Troise, age 77, passed away surrounded by family on June 22, 2021. He was the devoted son of the late Frank and Fannie Troise. He was the beloved husband of Lucille (nee Pane) for 55 years. He was the loving father of Frank Troise. He was the dear brother of Libby Salzone, Marie Manzo and the late Frank Troise and Nettie Cataldi. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and dear cousins. Louis was born and raised in South Brooklyn. At 16 years old he met the love of his life, Lucille. They were married on May 22, 1966 and two years later they were blessed with their son, Frank. As a child, Louis was very athletic and he was known for his speed and he was given the nickname "Louie Legs". In his spare time Louis and his brother, Frank would go to the track and bet on the horses. Louis took trips to Aruba and Florida with his brother and sister. Louis was fun to be around and he was always the life of the party. Some of the most fondest memories his son Frank had with his dad was watching old movies on TCM and the quiz show Jeopardy. He was also a fan of Spongebob Squarepants and Donald Duck. Louis always enjoyed his cold cut sandwiches, especially when it was prepared by his wife, Lucille. Throughout his life, Louis touched many lives in a very positive and special way. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Saturday, 6/26/2021, departing at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 6/25/2021, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. The family asks that all visitors attending the viewing please wear a mask.
