Obituary of Patricia "Penny" Magliocco

Patricia (Penny) Magliocco, 64, of Bulls Head in Staten Island, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2021. She was the beloved longtime companion of the late John Banis. Daughter of Lena Magliocco and the late Joseph Magliocco. Loving mother of Amanda Anderson and her wife Patti Ann Prestia, Elizabeth Ricca and her husband Michael, and the late Jaymee Anderson. Step-mother to Kimberly A. Hernandez and husband Jose Luis, Melissa M. Banis and husband Jose Padilla, and Michael J. Banis. Cherished grandmother of Barrett, Gilby, Abigail, Joshua, Isabella and Nicholas. Dear sister of Rosalie Parisi and her husband Joe, brother Joseph Magliocco and his wife Phyllis. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Patricia was born and raised in Staten Island New York where she remained throughout her life. She enjoyed her retirement after working for the New York City parks department for many years. Patricia was also an avid crafter and gardener who loved animals. Halloween was her favorite holiday and she spent many hours decorating and making candy bags for trick-or-treaters. Patricia enjoyed hosting large Christmas Eve family dinners and making birthdays a special event. Weekend church trips and traveling with her companion John were among her favorite things to do, but nothing brought more joy than spending time with her grandchildren.
