Obituary of Diana Troy

Mrs. Diana Troy, 65, Staten Island New York passed away on June 28, 2021 at Richmond University Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at St. Teresa's Church, with cremation services to follow. Visitation Services will be held at Matthew Funeral Home July 8 6-9pm, July 9 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Diana Troy was born in Brooklyn, NY to Jose Luis Morales and Mary Correa Morales Fluhr on February 17, 1956. Diana attended Lafayette High school in Brooklyn, NY and graduated with honors in 1974. Immediately upon graduating she married the love of her life Richard Troy and began to raise her beautiful family. Diana was a devoted wife and homemaker. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her family and helping them in any way she could. Later on in her life she put these extraordinary skills to use by watching children for friends, thus becoming a Grammy to everyone. Diana enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her three grandsons, reading, gardening, walking, shopping and going on vacations. Diana is survived by her husband Richard Troy, children Alexsis Barravecchia, Sal Barravecchia, Richard Troy and Gina Marie Troy, her grandchildren Michael Barravecchia, Daniel Barravecchia and Richard Troy Jr., her siblings Ileana and Joseph Guth, Maria Rosario, Joseph and Susan Morales, Desiree and Bob Bernstein, Vilma Castro, Theresa, and Richard D'Antonio and Marie Troy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Jose Luis Morales and Mary Correa Morales Fluhr and her mother in law Marilyn Troy.
