Obituary of Kirankumar Shroff

Kirankumar Shroff, 69, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Harshida (Doris); loving father of Clifford, Maxine and her husband Steve Parente; beloved grandfather of Samuel Raja; dear brother of the late Nepoleon and Nila Shroff; fond uncle of Hazel and Rupal. Mr. Shroff was born in 1952, in the state of Gujarat, India. He emigrated to the United States in 1976, settling in Brooklyn, before relocating to Staten Island in 2000. Kiran with his entrepreneurial spirit managed his own Christian Bookstore in Brooklyn before retiring. Kiran enjoyed music and loved singing every chance he got. He was self-taught with the piano and many other musical instruments. Kiran enjoyed traveling and fine dining. Most importantly, he was very generous with his family who loved spending time with him. He is described by his family as being a bright and shining star who loved to make everyone laugh. He was a true entertainer at heart. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., on Saturday, 7/17/2021, a funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 7/16/2021, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
