Obituary of Colin G. Martin

Colin Martin, 86, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2021. He was the loving husband of Pauline, beloved step-father of Debra Mack, Carl Goetz and Linda Van Pelt; cherished Pa to Lauren Farrell, Brian Goetz, Michael Van Pelt, Christopher Goetz, Michelle Stagmiller and Stephanie Van Pelt; devoted Pa to great-grandchildren Colin, Erica and Corinne. He was born in Kimberley, South Africa and at the age of 21 he left and came to the United States. He was very athletic and loved to swim, play tennis (in his younger years) and always liked to do cardio at the gym. If Colin was at the gym so would be his wife Pauline. They enjoyed going out to breakfast, going for early evening walks and spending time with family! He was a devout catholic and devoted parishioner of Holy Family Church where he served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister for many years! He and his wife Pauline also enjoyed getting involved in events held at the Parish; especially, the dances. Colin and his wife Pauline could always be seen on the dance floor! It was the little things in life that made both he and Pauline very happy! In lieu of flowers, the family of Colin Martin would appreciate donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church on Tuesday, August 10, at 11:30 am, with interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
