Obituary of Joseph E. Pinzolo

Joseph Ernest Pinzolo, 97, of Staten Island, NY, passed away on August 6, 2021 from natural causes. Mr. Pinzolo was very diligent in his school studies as a youth, as he graduated all of his schools with the highest of honors. He proudly and honorably served in the US Army, and participated in the D Day invasion of Omaha Beach with the 49th AAA Brigade. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant, as well as an Attorney, as he graduated from Brooklyn Law School. Joseph worked for many years for Surrogates Court until his retirement. Mr. Pinzolo is survived by his daughters Casandra Zappala (Son-in-Law, John Zappala) and Rosemarie Restifo (Son-in-Law) Robert Restifo, as well as his grandchildren Joseph, James, Niko, Gianni, and three great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful man, father and grandfather who loved his family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 8/9, departing at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Roch's R.C. Church at 11:00 am, followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 8/8, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. *The parking lot at St. Roch's Chruch is unavailable on Monday and only on-street parking will be available. The family requests that all visitors to the funeral home and church are to wear masks!
