Obituary of Anthony Longobardi

Anthony (Tony) Longobardi passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13th, 2021. Tony was born in Astoria Queens on March 8, 1947 to Anthony and Lena Longobardi. He was the cherished husband of Joan, beloved father of Anthony (Suzanne) and Joseph (Christie), and adored grandfather to Angelina, Louis, Anthony Joseph, Anthony, & Joseph, Jr. He was an amazing brother to Cookie Scarlotos (deceased) & Millie Conti. He was the best brother-in-law to Ann Baci & Marie Briganti and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He and Joan married in 1972 and later moved to Staten Island where they raised their two sons. He was a plumber with Local 2 for many years. He was the epitome of "easy going," and taught his family to see the good in all things. He was so proud of his sons and their many accomplishments. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. Family was everything to him. He enjoyed taking care of his flowers, cooking for his family, and listening to music. Those who loved Tony will share countless memories of the times spent with him. He will be so deeply missed by everyone.
