Tony Orlando Rivera, 39, resident of Staten Island, passed away on September 6, 2021. Tony leaves behind his beloved daughter, Nadia Rivera; mother, Sonia Baez; sister, Solania Rios; and brother, Phil Rivera. Tony grew up in South Brooklyn. He attended Fort Hamilton High School and was a part of the FHHS Tiger baseball team. Tony was a devoted father. He spent his time writing and fighting for social justice. He enjoyed watching and loved to attend sporting events. Tony was a music lover. He was a teacher. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Friday, 9/10/2021 a Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:00 PM. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 9/10/2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
