Obituary of Salvatore Cioffi Jr.

Salvatore Cioffi, 79, of West Brighton, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2021. He was the beloved father of Sandra Cioffi, Kerri Gerson (Gregg), and Kevin Cioffi (Andrea). He was the loving brother of Margaret Rogalli (Paul), Carol Berardi (Rocco) and Anthony Cioffi (Diane). He was a cherished grandfather to Salvatore, Gregg, Timothy, Joseph and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore Cioffi and Sally Cioffi, and his brother, Joseph Cioffi. He was loved by many nieces and nephews. Salvatore, also known as Sam to friends, was born in Trenton, NJ before moving to West Brighton. As a child, Sam enjoyed stickball with his many friends of the neighborhood. As a teen, he attended Port Richmond High School and worked after school at a body and fender shop. Later, he took this knowledge and took over the family business of Ace Auto Salvage. As an adult, Sal enjoyed working hard, time with friends, and family dinners with his children and grandchildren. Family and friends are asked to visit on Wednesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, departing at 10:15 am. Mass will be celebrated at Mount Carmel Church at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
