Obituary of Diana P. Marshall

Diana Marshall, 72, of Staten Island, New York was laid to rest on the early morning of November 8, 2021. Diana is survived by her mother, Mary Vaughan, daughters Jessica and Joana Marshall, son Eric Marshall, grandchildren Renee Delices and Eric Marshall, Jr., and brothers George and Luis Vazquez. She is predeceased by her late husband, Hugh Marshall, brother Joseph Vazquez and granddaughter Erica Marshall. Diana was raised in the Bronx, New York, and resided in Brooklyn and Manhattan before settling in Staten Island in the 1970s. She graduated from Brooklyn Jewish Medical Center and spent her career as a Registered Nurse in hospitals, nursing homes, and private duty settings. Once she could no longer provide direct patient care, she taught CNA licensure courses until retirement. Diana’s zest for life was unparalleled. Beautiful and charismatic, her primary interest was in her loved ones. She provided a warm environment to all who crossed her path and was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and positive spirt. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter’s R.C. Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday. A memorial visitation will be held at the Matthew Funeral Home, the following day, Sunday, 11/14/2021, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.
