Obituary of Anthony Abbruzzese

Anthony Abbruzzese, 76, of Tom's River, New Jersey, formerly of Westerleigh, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at his home on November 18, 2021. He was fiancé to Jackie Rasmussen; loving father of Anthony Abbruzzese Jr. and his wife Rita and Michael Abbruzzese and his wife Dena; cherished poppa to Anthony, Cole, Melanie, Alex, Carlie and Kaylie Abbruzzese; brother of Randa Anest and uncle of many loving nieces and nephews; husband of the late Geraldine Abbruzzese (2005). Mr. Abbruzzese was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and raised his family in Staten Island New York, before relocating to New Jersey later in life. He was employed by the Parkville Post Office station in Brooklyn, New York and was beloved and treated like family by all of the people on the route he tirelessly served for over 25 years. He patriotically served his country in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1971. He enjoyed navigating long road trips off the beaten path in his meticulously maintained vehicles to pursue enjoyment of the small things in life, such as sourcing world class apple pie. He was fiercely proud of his family, and they were his everlasting source of joy. He spent his golden years with Ms. Rasmussen with whom he enjoyed his retirement, many leisure activities, and spending time with their family and friends. He will be missed by all.
