Obituary of Roseann C. Orlando
Roseann C. Orlando, 80, of Staten Island, NY, formerly of Canarsie, Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at her home on November 25, 2021, after a five-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmine (2018); devoted daughter of the late Frank and Nettie Bardini; loving mother of Lynne Morris and her husband Barry, Frank Orlando and his wife Dawn, and Denise Mazzapica and her husband Frank; cherished grandmother of Kirsten and Robert Morris, Elizabeth and Laura Mazzapica, and doting great-grandmother of Luke and Andrew Nakhleh and Sofia McAuliffe.
Mrs. Orlando was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Staten Island in the late 1990s. She graduated from business school in 1960. She worked as a secretary for New York City Board of Education for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, spending time with friends and family, going to Atlantic City and traveling. She will be remembered for always ending her conversations with “love you more.” She perservered until the very end and showed her strength every day.
Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, 11/30, departing at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity, R.C. Church at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, 11/29, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
