Obituary of Mary S. Mafaro

Mary S. Mafaro (October 2, 1925 – November 27, 2021) Mary was born & raised in Staten Island, NY where she met and married Angelo C. Mafaro and they had four boys: Charles, John, Mikel, and Mark. In 1963, they moved to Maywood, NJ where they opened their first pizzeria named "Angelo's" which the Mafaro family still owns and operates today. She retired to Newton, NJ in Sussex County in 1987 where she passed away peacefully in her home on November 27th surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by sons Charles, John and Mikel; grandchildren Jason, Charles Jr. (Chuck deceased September, 2021), Tiana & Maria (deceased November, 2018); great grandchildren Zachary, Jacob, Brycen, Jaiden, Dominick, Adam, and Brody. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd, on Tuesday, 12/7/2021, Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, 12/7/2021, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
