Obituary of Deene L. Kiefert

Deene L. Kiefert, 78, of Heartland Village, passed away suddenly at her home on December 23, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Gerhard Kiefert for 58 years; loving mother of Lisa Kiefert-Inzerillo and her husband Frank; cherished grandmother of Sophia Inzerillo. Mrs. Kiefert was born and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn, and graduated from St. Angela Hall High School in Brooklyn. She relocated to Staten Island with her husband in 1971. Deene enjoyed playing bridge and shopping. She was very generous and loved spoiling her daughter and granddaughter as she frequently showered them with gifts. Deene also enjoyed travelling, especially cruising, and enjoyed the beach. She will be very missed by her loving family. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 12/27, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. A service is scheduled on Monday, 12/27, at 7:00 pm. Arrangements include private cremation.
