Obituary of Jeffrey J. Giza
Jeffrey J. Giza, 62, of Bushkill, PA (formerly from Staten Island, NY) passed away peacefully at his home on December 24, 2021 with his devoted dog, Jasper, by his side. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Carol Giza (Cifone). Loving father of two sons, Jeffrey J. Giza, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline and David Giza and his wife Sandra. Devoted grandfather to Thomas, Lillian and Jake. Cherished brother of Kristin Cirbus and her husband, Edward and Karin O’Callahan and her husband, Barry. He was an adored Uncle to his many nieces and nephews along with his great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his beloved father and mother, Chester and Ingrid Giza.
Jeff was born and raised on Staten Island and graduated from Port Richmond High School. He worked on Wall Street at A.G. Edwards and later moved on to working and being a manager in IT at various hospitals throughout his successful career. In his youth, he played baseball in Mid Island Little League. Jeff was passionate about his car club, the “Draggin-Rods“ in his late teens and early 20’s and loved riding his motorcycle. He coached basketball for his son, David at Holy Family for a number of years. He loved vacationing with his wife, Carol, and their two sons, their favorite destination was Florida. Jeff was retired and fulfilled his dream of living in Pennsylvania with his little buddy, Jasper. Jeff loved the outdoors and nature including fishing and he loved the herd of deer (he would call them his deerie, deeries) that would come to visit him every day in his backyard in PA. Every now and then he would feed them apples and carrots, which they loved. He was a die-hard fan of Penn State football always rooting them on to victory. He loved model trains and researching our family tree. Always finding new people along the way who would share small pieces of our family history that he always loved to hear about. He loved cooking and baking and made the yummiest soups (it was all delicious). He was a caring person who showed it in unassuming ways (helping fix something around the house, baking your favorite cookies, going grocery shopping, making extra soup to share). It was just part of his nature to be there for others. Jeff, you will be missed more than you will ever know. You will always be in our hearts and in our fondest memories.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the K9 for Warriors Organization in Jeffrey J Giza’s name.
