Obituary of Patricia A. Russo

A kind, beautiful, courageous soul has departed to seek its heavenly reward. Comforted within the cocoon of her loving family, Patricia Ann Russo (nee McQuade) slipped painlessly away as she slept after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Pat’s career entailed serving others, as a babysitter to several Staten Island families and as a short order cook and counterperson at Hartmann’s Kafeehaus in Round Top, New York. A devoted wife and mother, Pat’s were always labors of love, whether she was cooking for family holidays, fundraisers and parties or crafting wreathes, flower arrangements and rosary beads. Pat leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Nicholas G. Russo, son Daniel Russo (Monique), daughter Marie Forlenza (Ted), and Christine Healy (Owen), as well as several grandchildren. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, 1/4, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Visitation at the Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, NY 12413, on Friday, 1/7, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 11:30 am in Round Top, NY, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Round Top, NY.
