Obituary of Ernest W. Moerlins Jr.

Ernest W. Moerlins, Jr. Obituary Ernest W. Moerlins, Jr., age 60, of Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on January 8, 2022 suddenly and unexpectedly due to COVID-19 in his home on Staten Island, N.Y. He is survived by his siblings George Moerlins, Donna Milza, and Lynda Ricciardone, uncle to Abigail Milza, and brother-in-law to Michael Ricciardone. He was like a brother to Edward Milza and Patty Michaud. Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest W. Moerlins, Sr. and Carolyn E. Moerlins. Ernie was full of life; he had a tremendous sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. A kind and gentle soul, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Being an avid animal lover, Ernie particularly adored his handsome cat, Winston. He had a passion for traveling and adventures throughout his lifetime. Ernie was a sports enthusiast and not only enjoyed playing sports in his younger years, but had been a committed New York Mets fan, just like his dad. He always spoke very highly of and had immense respect for the U.S. military and all those who served. Lastly, Ernie was a member of the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Funeral arrangements are as follows: We've decided to forego a wake due to Covid-19 and opted to have a Celebration of Life Gathering with family and friends in the spring once it is safer to do so (date TBD).
