Obituary of Ann Marie A. Devlin

Ann Marie A. Devlin, of West Brighton, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene S. Devlin III (2009), devoted daughter of the late Luigi Giovanni and Annuziata Carmeli; loving mother to Rachel Devlin Allen and her husband Rob, and Christopher Devlin and his wife Christine; cherished grandmother (Dobie) of Gino Devlin, Kerry Allen, Frankie Devlin, and Madeline Allen. She was predeceased by her brother Rinaldo and her sister Helen. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends who became family. Mrs. Devlin was born and raised in Greenwich Village, Manhattan and relocated to Staten Island when she married Eugene. She was a graduate of Mother Cabrini High School and St Vincent (Manhattan) Nursing School. She was employed with St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, then moving to St. Vincent's Hospital in Staten Island. She also worked for Department of Health as a school nurse. She spent the last six years making her smallest babies smile, endlessly—they were the light of her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and dining out with her wonderful groups of friends. She was a loving and caring woman, who would do anything for her friends and family. We will all miss her immensely and cherish our memories with her. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Due to the current Governor's mandate, all visitors must wear masks!
