Obituary of Dinesh Mathew

Dinesh Mathew, affectionately known as Toshy, was born on May 28, 1973 to V M Mathew and Alamma Mathew (Vadakethu House) in Kerala, India. Toshy studied at the St. Thomas’ Boys’ School and Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology completing a three-year course in Automobile Engineering. He then continued his career at Bin Hamoodah Auto, as a sales consultant from 1997 to 2018. On August 27, 2001, he married Renny Mary Dinesh and had three children. He lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for twenty-one years. He emigrated to the United States on April 20, 2018 and resided in Staten Island, New York for four years. Toshy had many interests and passions in his life, with the foremost being his love and passion for the automobile industry. While in Abu Dhabi, he proved himself to be a dedicated worker and taskmaster who was able to assemble various spare parts of automobiles. His dedication won himself an upgrade to become a supervisor of the parts department. Toshy was able to recite any spare part number without hesitation. He always had a keen eye for ordering, building and putting things together. He also took great pleasure in raising and taking care of animals. He had a variety of pets during both his childhood and adulthood ranging from pigeons, fish, dogs, cats, rabbits, and parakeets. He was very much into gardening, growing and cultivating vegetables, flowers, and plants. Toshy is survived by his parents V M Mathew and Alamma Mathew; his wife Renny; his daughters Diya, Divya, and Dayna; his siblings Deepa, Dollin, and Rony; their respective spouses Sabu, Sajitha, and Nicely; and his numerous nieces and nephew. Toshy was a loving and caring person who always went out of his way for the people he loved. His genuine smile and laugh could brighten anyone’s day. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. As a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and uncle, Toshy was a wonderful individual with a pure and sincere heart who honored and valued his family and friends. He has left behind a legacy and a lifetime of cherished memories. While we mourn his passing, we rejoice that he is now resting in peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., on Friday, 2/11/2022, departing at 11:30 AM. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM.
