Obituary of Dorothy M. Daggett

Dorothy M. Daggett of Howell, NJ, formerly of New Dorp, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at her home on February 27, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert (Abby) Edward Daggett, Loving mother to her 5 children, Dorothy Rispoli, her husband Fred, Frank Charles Mastropiero and his late wife Sandra , Joseph Mastropiero and wife Angela , Danielle De Marco and her husband Robert, and Albert Daggett and his wife Christine. Dear sister of Gene Olsen and his wife Lucille, Donald Olsen and his wife Nancy, The late Ron Olsen and his wife Cecile, Faye Iafe and her husband Carmine. Dear sister-in-law to the late James and Loni Daggett, Eileen and Eugene Garvin, Roger and Mary Daggett and Susan Daggett. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, grand children, great grandchildren and many dear friends. Mrs. Daggett was born and raised on Staten Island and graduated from Port Richmond High School. Finally settling down in New Dorp with the love of her life Albert. She then worked administratively for Kmart, the Navy Exchange and The College of Staten Island, which she enjoyed so much and always said that this was the best job she's ever had where she met her dear friend Lorraine Zaluck whom she adored and talked about often. Her greatest passion was cooking, especially Sunday sauce for all of her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending lots of time with all of her grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita’s R.C. Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
