Obituary of Martha Parrotta-Pellechia

Martha Parrotta-Pellechia, 71, of Heartland Village, passed away on February 28, 2022. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Martha was a loving mother to Marco (wife Gina), Angela (husband Salvatore), Carmine (fiancé Danarose) and Vincent. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren Sofia, Frederick, Aryanna, Marco, Salvatore and Mariella. Martha was born and raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn and graduated from Catherine McAuley High School. She then when on to attend Brooklyn College for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education. She taught for the Department of Education for over 30 years and if you asked her, she would say she never worked a day in her life because she loved her job so much. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Richmond town. She loved the Lord and served him at every chance she got. She was a lecture and a Eucharistic minister and would bring the host to several home bound households every morning. Martha was a very selfless person who put everyone before herself. Her kindness, generosity and passion for helping others was known by everyone she came into contact with. She will be very missed by her family, friends and parish. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday March 5th departing at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's RC Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday and Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 top 10:00 PM.
