She is survived by her Children Jeffrey and Melissa; daughter-in-law Tanya, son-in-Law Jeffrey; siblings Rose and Miguel. Lucy also leaves a legacy of grandchildren with Gabrielle, Celeste, Samantha, Leandra and William. Titi Lucy was affectionately loved by many nieces and nephews and friend to all who came into her life.
Lucy was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and brought forth her love for her roots by devoting her time to many fundraising events during her many years of service with the HRA Department of New York City. Through her involvement with the Hispanic Heritage, Puerto Rican day parade or single parent initiatives, she gave her love to ensure public awareness of Hispanic Pride.
Her happiest moments were spending time with the family, sharing in many days of cards, food and laughter. Family events that also increased her joy further when they were for her Grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing and only sat when tired.
Lucy’s passion in life was to assist anyone in need of employment. She was relentless in making connections for the people she assisted. The family has estimated the people she has assisted to be in the hundreds.
