Obituary of Angelo "Andy" Baldasarre

Angelo "Andy" Baldasarre, 92, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2022. He was the beloved son of the late Angelo and Maria Baldasarre; loving brother of Jennie Casella, the late Silvio Baldasarre, the late Cecilia Dini, the late Jill Tulloch, the late Florence Cox; devoted uncle of Bruce Tulloch (Doreen), Lorraine Clinton (Timothy), Sandy Cella (Art), and the late Patricia Rizzo. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Angelo, affectionately known as Uncle Babe, was born and raised on Staten Island, and was graduated from Port Richmond High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and served overseas during the Korean War. He had a long career with the government, working as a Manager of the Commissary with Fort Wadsworth and later Fort Hamilton. Babe also worked part-time time for over 20 years with Reiman's Hardware Store. Angelo was an avid skier and was the former President and long-time member of the Staten Island Ski Club. He also enjoyed bike riding and loved dancing. Every weekend he would frequent New Jersey and partake in Polish Dances. Babe was an long-time active member of the Gold Star VFW Post. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. On Monday, April 4, 2022, a burial of cremains is scheduled for 11:00 am in St. Peter's Cemetery.
