Obituary of Theresa Marino

Theresa Louise Marino (nee Giannotti), 76, of Lakeville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Willowbrook, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of John Marino of 56 years; loving mother of Barbara Cannizzaro and her husband, Mark; Salvatore Marino and his wife, Tracey; and Louis Marino; cherished grandmother of Danielle Cannizzaro, Sara Cannizzaro, Mark Cannizzaro, John Marino and Giavanna Marino; dear sister of Phyllis Lombardi and the late Thomas Giannotti. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephew Mrs. Marino was raised in Ozone Park, Queens before moving to State Island. After raising her family she proudly worked as a para in the Department of Education at IS. 2 Egbert Intermediate School. She retired in 2014 and relocated to their home in Lakeville, Pennsylvania where she enjoyed hosting large family Thanksgivings. Her biggest joy was spending time and seeing her children and grandchildren all together. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, 3/31, from 1:00 to 4:30 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, 4/1, at 10:30 am. Entombment will be at St. Rose of Lima in Freehold Township, New Jersey at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to either American Cancer Society or Saint Jude.
