Obituary of Christine L. Lumini

Christine L. Lumini (nee Nemeth), 67, of Westerleigh, passed away on February 12, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Frank for 45 years; loving mother of Barbra Tansey and her husband, Francis, Debra D'Angelo and her husband, Anthony, Diane Tanjutco and her husband, Carlo, cherished grandmother of Patrick Tansey, Emily and Anthony D'Angelo, Justin, Avery and Jaiden Tanjutco; dear sister of Bobby Nemeth and his wife, Eileen, Jean Cambria and her husband, Joseph, Joseph Nemeth and his wife, Patty, and Danny Nemeth and his wife, Phyllis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Christine was born in Manhattan, in 1950, and moved to Staten Island as an infant, settling in Midland Beach. She was an alumna of New Dorp High School of the class of 1968. She worked for twenty years as an Insurance Underwriter. She enjoyed watching and rooting for the NY Yankees with her husband, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Most important, her family was her joy in life, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
