Obituary of Teresa A. Mastropiero
Teresa Mastropiero Daniels, 88, of Westerleigh and Stuart, Florida entered into perpetual rest on April 1, 2022, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Teresa was born October 10, 1933 to Angelina and Louis Liquori of Port Richmond. She was a first generation American through her mother and savored American culture. Teresa graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1951. In 1952 she married her childhood sweetheart, John Mastropiero, in a traditional Italian football wedding. The two went on to have four children, Joanne, Nancy, Michael and John, Jr.. When her children were young Teresa volunteered as a cub scout leader. Following John Sr.’s untimely passing in 1987, Teresa met and eventually married her second husband, John Daniels, in 1994.
“Dolly,” as she was known by those who loved her, enjoyed entertaining, particularly poolside. For decades, her deck and basement were the center of many a well spent and fondly remembered holiday or summer afternoon. True to her Italian heritage she was an excellent cook and baker. Homemade cream puffs and apple pies were her specialty, brightening many a table through the years.
Teresa was an avid and accomplished traveler. Following her retirement from The Siemens Foundation and Richmond County Savings Bank, she visited 49 states with her second husband. She was also a prolific and skilled crocheter, devoting much of her spare time to crafting beautiful handmade gifts for those she loved. In addition to her generous spirit, she will be remembered as well dressed and immaculately coiffed.
Teresa is reunited in paradise with her loving first husband, John Mastropiero, her devoted second husband, John Daniels, her brother, Frank Liquori, and her parents, Louis and Angelina Liquori.
She is survived by her four children, Joanne Wesco, Nancy Deodato, Michael (Janice) Mastropiero and John (Janice) Mastropiero, Jr., ten grandchildren, Stephanie Wesco, James Renda, Danielle Mastropiero, Michael F. Mastropiero, Theresa Letostak, John Mastropiero, III, Victor Cotter, Anthony Mastropiero, Nicholas Mastropiero and Michael A. Mastropiero, and fourteen great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Edward (Maureen) Liquori, her sister, Jean Schutz, and many dearly loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
