Obituary of Susan I. Barrientos

Susan I. Barrientos, 71, of Great Kills, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2022. She was the devoted daughter of the late Malcolm and Charlotte Anderson; beloved mother of Susan I. Maslankowski and her husband Joseph; cherished grandmother of Vincent and Joseph Maslankowski; dear sister of Raymond Anderson and his wife Janice, Judith Madigan, the late Bonnie Anderson and the late Deborah Hyland. She was also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Ms. Barrientos was born and raised on Staten Island and was graduated from Curtis High School. In her younger years she worked for JP Morgan Chase and later finished her career as a School Lunch Aide for the New York City Board of Education. In her spare-time she enjoyed reading, watching tv, and doing puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and family vacations, including trips to Atlantic City. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Child R.C. Church at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
