Obituary of Salvatore A. Mancuso

Salvatore Anthony Mancuso of Staten Island, NY passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2022 with his loved ones by his side. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Joann Mancuso, his parents, Annette and Anthony Mancuso, and his brother Anthony (JR) Mancuso. He is survived by his daughter Karyn Gasser, his son Anthony Mancuso, his daughter-in-law Catherine Mancuso, and four grandchildren, Olivia, Maggie, Christian (CJ) and Julia. He grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in 1970. He enjoyed a very successful career on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), specifically as a floor broker for Pershing and Company. Upon retirement, he got the distinction of ringing the closing NYSE bell in November of 2001. During his retirement, Sal loved playing golf at Richmond County Country club where he was a member, watching the New York Mets, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He encompassed a natural joy for life and he will be missed dearly. Visitation at Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Church of Our Lady of Pity, 1616 Richmond Avenue.
