Obituary of Karen Lynn Damitz

Karen Lynn Damitz, 51 of Bulls Head, Staten Island passed away on April 28, 2022. She was the beloved daughter of Gerald J. Damitz, and the late Linda Damitz (nee Kosky); beloved sister of Gerald Damitz and his wife Ethel; cherished sister of Margaret T. Damitz-Hawkins and husband Robert; loving aunt to nieces Brigid and Audrey; beloved niece of Thomas J. Kosky; beloved niece of Karen Kosky-Coker and husband Kevin; beloved niece of John Damitz and wife Helen; and beloved niece of the late Alice Ellera (nee Damitz) and husband Herman. Ms. Damitz was a lifelong resident of Staten Island and graduated from Port Richmond High School. Karen worked in the cosmetology industry. She enjoyed swimming, taking long walks, reading, movies and spending time with friends and family. Karen has left us too soon and will be missed by many. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Monday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
