Obituary of Glenn T. Barback

Glenn T. Barback, 69, of Bay Terrace passed away on May 28, 2022 surrounded by loved ones at home. He is survived by his three children Shannon, Shane, and Shauna. He was a loving grandfather and great grandfather to his many grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew. Glenn was born and raised on Staten Island. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and immediately began working for General Motors. He then went on to have many different jobs but none that brought him greater joy than a building superintendent. After retirement Glenn went on to spend time with his family by just simply enjoying life. He could always be found with a Budweiser and a smile. Glenn, or “Pops”, as he was fondly called, was always the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor and loved to “bust chops.” He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm.
