From: Keith S. Holgate We were known as the four 'Poos'; Markie Poo, Mikey Poo, Keithie Poo, and Tommy Poo. Now there are three 'Poos' remaining. Forty years of solid friendship is to be treasured! To Diana, Gaetano, Andrew, and the rest of the family: "Bawl as much as you want to!" Don't hold it in by saying , "That's what Tom would have wanted, and Death is a part of Life, etc." The degree and extent of grief is a clear reflection of what the person meant to you in life. One day you'll all be able to replace your grief with pleasant memories and reflection of Tom's life, his love, and his funny & silly side. Tom and I have solved the Nation's Crisis, the World's Crisis, and the cause of Mankind's Imperfections, with numerous reasonings, and debates over the years. He always pointed out to me, that in spite of the differences of our culture, race, and upbringing, we discovered that he and I shared a common basic truth of what was of paramount importance to us in life, which was our Family, especially the upbringing and future of our children. "I'm going to miss you Tommy Poo!" One Love Always!

My deepest sympathy to Diana, Linda and the rest of Tom's family. I am sorry that I will not be able to express my condolences in person due to a family emergency. As has been stated, Tom was a kind, caring and gentle sole. In all the years we worked together he always had a pleasant greeting for all and treated others respectfully and professionally. Even when I would bring students to tour the lab in the evenings, he was always willing to explain things to them while working diligently. I will miss his usual comment when he would see me in the lab in recent years "hi boss, when are you coming back?" Words cannot express my shock in realizing that he will no longer be around and that he will not get to enjoy his retirement which he was eagerly anticipating. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends and I send hugs to Diana and Linda. May he rest in peace and look down upon all of us as we struggle with his loss. He will not be forgotten.

I can't express how sorry I am to hear about Tom's passing. My heart goes out to you and your family. I want you to know that I wish you comfort and peace as you remember Tom.

Tom was a very gentle man, so kind. When I had a heart attack after I came home Tom knocked on my door and gave me a book about the heart. Tom and I talked all the time , never had a bad word to say about anyone. Tom, like myself always wore shorts even when.it was cold. He had a beautiful and kind wife in Diana. They raised 2 great sons always respectful . Now they are fireman helping people. I will miss you Tom , you were a great guy.
