Obituary of Anthony Colucci Jr.

Anthony Colucci Jr., 86, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Gwendolyn (2021) for over 50 years; loving father of Audrey Cole and her husband Michael, Anthony Colucci, Gwen Lalor and her husband Thomas, and Leah Colucci, the late Lynn and Lyndia Colucci; cherished grandfather of Ryan, Matthew, Evangelina, Gianni, Annabella, Adrianna, Shane, and Zachary; dear brother of Maryann Wernoch. Mr. Colucci was a life-long Staten Islander, born and raised in Dongan Hills, and was graduated from New Dorp High School. He worked for the MTA in the Engineering department, for 25 years. In his spare-time he was avid piano player and he performed in many restaurants and other facilities on Staten Island throughout the years. He was a classic car buff who loved buying and working on his cars. He had very close relationships with his sister and many cousins and enjoyed travelling to the country with them in his younger years. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann’s R.C. Church at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
