Obituary of Josephine "JoJo" LoPresti

Mrs. Josephine "JoJo" LoPresti (nee Hession), 77, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph E. LoPresi Sr.; devoted daughter of the late James and Josephine Hession; loving mother of Ralph E. LoPresti Jr and his wife Christine, Lenny LoPresti and his wife Alison, and Chris LoPresti and his wife Suzy; cherished grandmother of Thomas, Chris, Jonna, William, Raymond, Luke, Marc, Olivia and Zach; dear sister of Patricia Marsala (Joseph), Nicky Hession (Phyllis), Lincoln (Theresa), Gail Shaw (late David), Lenny Hession (Michele), Arlene Montalvo (Roger), the late Margaret Monaco (late Vincent), the late MaryAnn Cavagnaro, the late Babe Hession, the late Linda Hession, the late Kathleen Adams, , the late Martin Hession; the late fond sister-in-law of Ronald Cavagnaro and Douglas Adams and Liz Hession. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. JoJo was born and raised on Staten Island and graduated from McKee High School. She and her husband owned and operated Les Femmes/New York, New York beauty salons. She also worked for the Mayor's Office in City Hall for 20 years. JoJo was very affable and if you met her, she was your friend for life. She enjoyed listening to classic rock and watching game shows. Her main joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the St. George Theatre, 33 Hyatt Street, Staten Island, N.Y., 10301 (www.stgeorgetheatre.com). Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm.
