Obituary of Theresa B. Garzone

 

Theresa B. Garzone (nee DeSiato), age 97, passed away on February 21, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late James V. Garzone. She was the loving mother of Diane Cocozza and Michael and Janie Jacobi. She was the cherished nana of Deana Mullaney and her husband James, Marissa Carnevale and her husband Frank, Amanda Garzone, Sara, Jenny and Jill Jacobi. She was the dear nana of 5 great grandchildren. She was the fond sister of Ann Acquesta, Margaret Madalone and her husband Anthony, Mary Ferone, Michael, Louis, Salvatore, Dominick, Anthony, Johnny DeSiato and his wife Barbara, and the late Rose Pietromonaco, Antoinette Parisi, Angelina Scaramuzzi.

 

Theresa came from a very large family with many siblings so needless to say family was extremely important to her throughout her life. She was happily married to her late husband James for over 46 years until his passing in 1992. She was an avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan. Theresa will be remembered as a strong, loyal and trustworthy woman who enjoyed her life to the fullest and was devoted to her family.

 

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may visit on Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
