Too many good times, but l think the time I would like to remember the most, was this one weekend where we had a plan to go to PA to visit our friends, and there was a blizzard. Being that we were nineteen or twenty and knew everything already, we ignored our parents and drove in the blizzard in the Dark. It was jus us two and the snow was pouring down. We get over the Verrazano Bridge and there are snow plows coming onto the road, we followed those snow plows all the way to the Goethals Bridge, and then we got on the turnpike and as luck would have it...snow plows, and then the same thing on Rte 80. We followed snow plows all the way to PA going about 25 miles an hour. It took us about 5 hrs, but it could have been five minutes. We played mixed tapes and argued about why each other's musical taste was better than the other, we spoke about the future and what we would do when we were rich, and we laughed so hard the whole way (we might have had a bong....we definitely had a bong). You might have done a James Hetfield impression, I definitely did an Axl Rose impression. You shed your tough guy persona for a few hrs and we were just two kids from Bay 29th St on an adventure in a Blizzard. I don't remember what we did that weekend, but I remember that car ride. That is how I will choose to remember you.

Vinny was one of my childhood friends that I had the privilege of sharing many memories with. Two that I can recall that I would like to share was the home coming parade for our vets that were coming back from Desert Storm in 1991. We lined up on Broadway and hooked up with some guys from Avenue U and a guy named Buddha was there go to guy that wanted all of us to smack his stomach so he can yell "Buddha likes! " We kept screaming our lungs out in support of our vets as they marched by us in tanks, fighter jets being pulled by trucks and General Schwartzkopf riding in a old school jeep. In our area there was a fashion photographer on a ladder taking some pics of models running along side the troops, the photographer asked us to lower our flag because we were ruining his shot. Buddha was awakened and Buddha yelled 'Buddha don't like, Buddha will.lower the flag" in summary a group of young Brooklyn men tossed the photographer and his ladder over a newsstand never to be seen again. We ran around the Seaport with Navy guys on our backs for hours. Vinny, Chris and myself came home that night beyond exhausted. My other shared memory is when ever I had the chance to go fishing with Big Vinny, Vinny and Chris whether it was a charter boat out of Sheepshead Bay or a lake and one of us caught a fish. We would yell out to one another "Because we are men, doing men things" I also remember that green Vega they had in the driveway that they would jump off of the roof.. Vinny you are gone to soon and may you rest in peace . Love your friend, Nunzio
