Obituary of Julia Guzman Allia

Julia Guzman Allia, 80, of Staten Island passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2022 after a year long battle with Stage IV Liver Cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank. Beloved mother to Frank, his wife Monique; Mark, his wife Christina; and Robert. Cherished Grandmother to 6, Michael, Eric, Anthony, Nicholas, Vincent and Angelina and Great Grandmother "G.G. MA" to 4, Christopher, Christina, Stella and Joseph; Loving and caring sister to Angel, Rosa, Papon, Carmelo and Lillian. Julia had a large extended family filled with many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved to talk to on the phone and spend time with. Her whole family will truly miss her. Julia was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on December 10, 1941 to Benigno Guzman and Fermina Diaz. She came to New York when she was a teenager and worked many jobs through the years until getting a job as a School Aide with the Board of Education which she retired from in 2010. Julia had 3 loves in her life: Her Family, Her Church and the NY Mets! She was a devout Christian and gave her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Sunday, 10/2, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A service is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Sunday evening in the funeral home, as well as Monday, 10/3, at 10:00 am, with interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery.
