Obituary of Robert Emmitt Mahoney Sr.

Robert Emmitt Mahoney Sr. was born July 18, 1939 on Staten Island. He attended St. Peter's Grammar and High Schools. He was a Boy Scout. He graduated from SICC (now CSI), NYU and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He joined the Navy and was honorably discharged. Upon his discharge, he joined the American Legion. He was a member for over 50 years. He held many positions during that time. He was a Lieutenant in the New York State Department of Corrections for more than 40 years. He was the father to Robert Jr., who passed from ALS, and Robyn Ellen. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Mahoney. He is also survived by stepchildren Lisa Pesce, Jane Cirillo and James Orleman and his beloved nephew, James Mahoney III and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to ALS would be greatly appreciated.
