Obituary of Diana R. Johnson

Diana R. Johnson (Mama Di), 88, of Graniteville passed away peacefully in her home on December 14, 2022. She was the loving mother of Gale, Donna, Eddie and Cindy; cherished grandmother of Alex and Eddie; dear sister of the late Shirley Andersen. Diana was a life-long Staten Islander, born and raised in Castleton Corners and graduated from Curtis High School. While raising her four children, she always worked hard in her secretarial career until her retirement from General Trademark, a label printing company, at the age of 70. She was fond of playing the piano, had a talent for knitting, a soft heart for animals and babies and a passion for horseback riding winning several blue ribbons in her younger days. Diana's kindness and giving spirit touched the hearts of all she met. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Wednesday, 12/21/2022, departing at 10:30 AM. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, 12/20/2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
