Obituary of Helen Mazur

Helen Mazur (nee Wincelowicz), 92, of Westerleigh, passed away on March 6, 2018 at Staten Island University Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore (1994); loving mother of Richard Mazur and his wife, Maureen, Stephanie Smith and her husband, Donald, Debra Dawson and her husband, Michael, and Alberta Mazur; cherished grandmother of 8; devoted great-grandmother of 8. Helen was predeceased by her 4 siblings.

Helen was born on January 2, 1926, in West Brighton and was raised there. She attended McKee High School. Most of her life she spent being a homemaker and loving wife and mother. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and playing cards. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her loving family.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, on Saturday, departing at 8:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Adalbert's R.C. Church at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
