Obituary of Onofrio Bartolotta

Onofrio Bartolotta, 62, of Staten Island, Passed away at home with his family by his side on December 23, 2022, After a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. He was the adored husband of Lela Bartolotta for 24 precious years, and the loving father of Onofrio Paolo, Pietro, Gianni, and Luciana Bartolotta. He will be remembered by his family as the most caring, charismatic, supportive, and generous soul. His selflessness made him a truly exemplary man. Onofrio was born on April 14th, 1960, in Casalvecchio, Sicily. After graduating high school, he moved to Brooklyn, New York. He worked with his hands as a general contractor, specializing in masonry. He always put his heart into all his endeavors, which were always recognized as the best. He was exceptionally skilled in cooking, and gardening; skills which allowed him to bring relatives together for every holiday. Onofrio unconditionally loved his family, who meant everything to him. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, 12/29, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Entombment to follow. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, 12/28, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
