Obituary of Maria Gangidino

Maria Gangidino, 84 passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Rosario Gangidino for 61 years; loving mother of Frank, Joseph, late Dominick, and Lina; cherished grandmother of Anthony, Paul, Gabriella, Christina, Josh, Stephanie, Mike, Nicole, Johnny, Amanda, and Chris. She was also the proud great grandmother of Olivia, Luka, and Sofia; and the dear mother-in-law of Ellen and Diane Gangidino. Maria Gangidino was born in Sicily and emigrated to the United States in 1957. She settled in Brooklyn and then eventually moved to Staten Island. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate person. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was an inspiration to her family and to all those that knew her. She lived her life to make everyone happy. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, and her cooking was amazing. We will never forget the incredible person that you were. You were an angel on Earth, and now you have your wings in heaven. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at 9:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Adalbert's R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Entombment to follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
