Obituary of Sandra P. Williams

Sandra Williams, 74, of Arden Heights passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Phillip Williams for over 40 years; the loving mother of Denny King and his wife Tikki, Traci Barrow and Roger(Deceased), Phil Williams Jr and his wife Hsiao-fa, Paul Williams and his partner Rina, Peter Williams and his wife Angelina; cherished grandmother of Ashon, Ian, Julia, Catherine, Olivia, Marley, PJ, and Preston; Dear sister of Leslie Lam, and surrogate mom to countless others. Sandra was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Lennox and Elaine Lam. After graduating high school and spending a few years living in Canada, she finally married the love of her life, Phillip, and made her way to New York. She worked as a TBTA officer for over 20 years and was a first responder on 9/11. Some of her hobbies included Sudoku and watching talk shows such as Dr.Phil or game shows such as Let's Make a Deal while never letting anybody else change the channel. She was an incredible cook. Her macaroni pie, callaloo, potato salad, stew chicken, and more will be sorely missed on every holiday. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Boulevard. A Roman Catholic Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM this Monday, April 3, 2023 at St Thomas the Apostle Church. Interment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
