Obituary of Wanda Van Pelt

Wanda Van Pelt, 91, passed away peacefully at Seaview Nursing home, March 29, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Van Pelt for 59 years; Loving mother of Lynda Ronconi, Donna Carpiniello and husband Dominick, Robert Van Pelt and his wife Phyllis. She was the loving and cherished grandmother of Kathy, Cindy and husband Scott, Dominick, David and wife Kalyn, RJ and Ryan. Wanda was also blessed to be a great grandmother of three Eli, Seth, and Jacob whom she adored. Wanda was born on Staten Island, attended McKee high school. After raising her children, she went back to work at JP Morgan as a Bond Clerk. She retired and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and traveling with her late husband Gilbert. She enjoyed bowling, and had a tremendous sweet tooth, if allowed she’d eat desert first, then her food, and desert after. Most of all she loved being with her family. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
