Obituary of Salvatore Guzzo

Salvatore Guzzo 83 of Staten Island passed away March 31st. He was the widower of Marie Guzzo. Loving father of 5 children and grandfather of 20 grandchildren. He will be remembered for his robust personality, his engaging spirit and a very loving person. Born August 30, 1939 in Casteldaccia, Sicily. He came to America as a young boy with his father Antonio Guzzo, making a home in Brooklyn. As a young man with a hard working personality. He started his first job in a bakery. He eventually graduated to each position in the bakery and found his true passion. With strong determination he saved for a business of his own. Since that day the course of a family’s history is, forever changed. He took pride in his work and his children followed in his footsteps. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Family and friends may visit on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
