Obituary of Marcelle Hart

Marcelle Hart, 99 years old, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27 at Pines Acres Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of almost 60 years to Francis Hart, her best friend. She was the loving mother of Alison and Leslie Hart and the grandmother of Bernadette and Jacob. Marcell was born in Casablanca, Morocco on March 5, 1924. She came to the US after the war where she met her husband, Frank, and were married for almost 60 years. She was devoted to her family. Both her and her husband, Frank, were world travelers. They loved going to Atlantic City to play the slots, walk on the boardwalk and eat at the buffets. She knew how to entertain and made everyone feel like royalty. Her home was always open. She was a gourmet cook and incredible dessert maker, making it very difficult to be on a diet. Reading, knitting and going to garage sales were her favorite pastimes. Nothing, though, was more important than spending time with her grandchildren. She was a strong woman who always made lemonade out of lemons, there wasn't anything she couldn't accomplish. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Sunday, April 30, from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:15 pm, followed by burial in Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY. As per religious tradition, please do not send any flowers.
