Obituary of Marie Pfaff

Marie Pfaff, 66, of Staten Island, passed away suddenly with her family by her side on June 8th, 2023. She was a loving mother to her only son, Jeffrey Pfaff, a beloved daughter to her parents, Rosemarie and Henry McNerney, and a cherished sister to Kevin and Steven McNerney. She is also survived by her sister-in-law’s, Penny and Della McNerney, also her nieces and nephew, Lauren Fleck, Cassie Enea, and Jake McNerney. She was very proud of her grandniece Addison Fleck, and her grandnephews Andrew Fleck, Joseph and James Enea. Marie was born on August 24th, 1956, in New York City, moving to Staten Island in 1967. She graduated Susan Wagner High School in 1974. She was recently retired after working many years in the insurance industry as an underwriter. She made amazing memories traveling, loved spending time in Florida and cruising the Caribbean. In her spare time, she enjoyed sleeping late on the weekends, making coffee, and watching her favorite TV shows. She will always be remembered by the people that love her as a strong and caring woman that her family and friends could depend on. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
