Obituary of Carol L. Diorio

Carol L. Diorio (10.12.1934 – 6.27.2023) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Carol. A lifelong resident of South Brooklyn, NY, Carol was a graduate of Sara J. Hale High School in Brooklyn and began her career as a Beautician, Hair colorist, and Manicurist, which she enjoyed until her retirement. Carol married her husband of Fifty-four years Neil, an Engineer with Consolidated Edison of NY and raised three children, Louis, and Angela, both pharmacists, and Josephine a special education principal, in her beloved Red Hook brown stone. Carol enjoyed crafts, drawing, traveling (especially with her grandchildren), and spending time with her family. A devoted grandma, Carol is survived by her six grandchildren spread from Staten Island to California! Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Friday, 6/30/2023, departing at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart R.C. Church at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, 6/29/2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
