Obituary of Barbara G. Casem

Barbara Geronaga Casem 12.4.1932-7.3.2023 With great sorrow, Barbara Geronaga Casem (90), passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023, with her family lovingly by her side. Born on December 4, 1932 to Andrea and Melquiades Geronaga, Barbara lived her young life in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro with her 8 siblings Guillermo, Elising, Antonia, Angel, Francisca, Nenita, Raymundo and Marcelina, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby until he married Tomas A. Casem and had 4 children. Barbara is survived and will be missed by her three children: Melinda, Merlita and Tomas Jr., and five grandchildren: Marc, Jojo, Melissa, DJ and Melanie, and three great-grandchildren: Mason, Madison and Mateo. She was predeceased by her daughter Mariza and husband Tomas. Barbara was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a devout Christian who was not afraid to share her faith with anyone willing to listen. She loved the church. As a woman of faith, she rejoiced in the promise of eternal life provided to all by Jesus Christ. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She made it her life mission to help in any way she could. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to garden and check her Facebook page daily. She would have loved to see a lot of singing and line dancing at her funeral. 2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV): "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
